We’ll teach you some basics about the horses and you’ll learn how to prep for saddling. We’ll acquaint you with your horse, and you’ll have time to become comfortable with your new friend. Trail riding and a ranch tour will round out the day followed by a home style dinner and a sunset trail ride.

Tuesday

After breakfast, we will set out for the morning’s adventure to check on the cattle and make sure they’re all healthy. Lunch will be served in the Ranch Headquarters, followed by an afternoon ride and exploring. The evening will spent learning cowboy lawn games; roping steer heads, throwing horse shoes, and mastering the bucking barrel.

Wednesday

After the morning, chores we’ll head out on horseback. We will get to know the pasture and the cattle’s favorite hiding places so we can be ready for the cattle drive tomorrow. Cameras are encouraged, this can be a great time for wildlife pictures. The afternoon can be spent fishing, floating on the pond, or hiking some of the beautiful canyons. The evening will bring a barbecue cook-out followed by evening campfire and s’mores.

Thursday

Today is the big cattle drive! We’ll gather and saddle our horses early and move the steers to a new pasture. Lunch is packed and eaten on location. After the move, an afternoon nap is usually required before the evening socializing begins. Depending on how you’re feeling after a day in the saddle, we may take a sunset ride. Wyoming has beautiful sunsets!

Friday

We’ll head out again on horseback, shagging the strays that were left behind.  The last evening is often spent around the campfire, telling stories and sharing our favorite memories from the week.

Saturday
